Magomed Ankalaev earned an important unanimous decision win over former light heavyweight title challenger Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night 203.

After a competitive five rounds, all three judges saw the contest in favor of the Russian rising star. He now has eight consecutive wins and is likely to be on the shortlist of title challengers in the 205-pound weight class.

In the co-main event, Song Yadong picked up a massive stoppage win over Marlon Moraes. The up-and-coming bantamweight from China landed a crisp three-punch combination to send Moraes crashing to the canvas.

With Moraes rendered unable to defend himself, referee Keith Peterson was forced to intervene at the 2:06 mark of the first round. The 'Kung Fu Monkey' is now riding a three-fight winning streak as he improved his record to 19-5.

After the fight, Yadong made it clear who he wants to fight next. The 24-year-old Team Alpha Male member called out former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz.

Featherweight standout Sodiq Yusuff returned to the win column after defeating 'Bruce Leeroy' Alex Caceres in a main card bout. The Nigerian fighter targeted his opponent's leg to build up a lead on the judges' scorecards and earn a unanimous decision victory after three rounds.

Khalil Rountree put on a statement win when he took out Karl Roberson in brutal fashion. After an evenly matched first round, 'The War Horse' came out firing on all cylinders in the second to secure the TKO victory.

Meanwhile, fan favorite Terrance McKinney suffered his first UFC loss against Drew Dober. It was a come-from-behind victory for Dober, who weathered an early storm from the red-hot prospect. Dober caught McKinney with a knee to the body and followed up with a few more ground strikes to finish the fight.

The main card opener featured a middleweight showdown between Brazilian strikers Alex Pereira and Bruno Silva. After three hard-fought rounds, it was Pereira who had his hands raised to earn his second UFC win in a row.
