WWE/MMA News: Brock Lesnar to face Mark Hunt at UFC 200

It’s time

The expression ‘Clash of the Titans’ doesn’t do justice to this bout. Former WWE and UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will make his sensational return to the octagon and standing across from him will be none other than Mark Hunt.

ESPN.com confirms that the ‘King of Walk-Offs’ will face Lesnar on July 9th at the recently inaugurated T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The news of Lesnar’s return to the UFC sent wrested the attention of the MMA community, while one of the biggest PPVs of the year so far in UFC 199 was in progress.

Lesnar last fought in the UFC in December 2011, losing to Heavyweight title challenger Alastair Overeem and then announcing his retirement. Speaking to Hannah Storm on ESPN SportsCenter, Lesnar admitted that retiring from MMA had left him deeply resentful:

“It was the hardest decision for me to make. That decision has haunted me for the last 15 months. I figured I couldn't live like that for the rest of my life. I'm a big believer in living out your dreams and facing your fears.” Here’s the video:
