WWE/MMA Rumour: WWE wants to book Ronda Rousey for another appearance

Rousey when she still held the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion

It came as a shock, when UFC announced that former WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar will come out of his MMA retirement, for one more fight in the octagon. Despite his lucrative contract with WWE, Lesnar was allowed by the company to sign this deal. And at UFC 200, on July 9th , he will square off against Mark Hunt.

To clarify some doubts, WWE announced that Lesnar will be fighting at WWE Summerslam as well. This decision made the fans believe that there will be more instances of crossovers between the WWE and the UFC in future.

And they were right. It was soon revealed that WWE wants to have a guest appearance from female UFC fighter Paige VanZant at SummerSlam. According to a report by Forbes, WWE is looking to angle the Brock Lesnar UFC fight to potentially hook more UFC talents into appearing for them.

And to compound the rumours, Wrestlinginc.com mentions that the WWE wants to book Ronda Rousey for another appearance at WrestleMania, probably in the event’s 33rd edition. Earlier, she was allowed by the UFC to work an angle with Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and the Rock at WrestleMania 31.

Ronda Rousey has been fighting in the UFC since 2012. She is not only the first ever woman to win a UFC Championship, but was also the only champion in the Women’s Bantamweight division until Holly Holm knocked her out at UFC 193.
