Surprisingly no Spaniard gained podium in the Moto GP category after Dani Pedrosa fell off his bike and Jorge Lorenzo made a bad tyre choice, thus ending up to pay for it dearly finishing in fourth position. Casey Stoner turned out to be the winner, thus opening a 32 point gap over Lorenzo, thus giving him a very handy lead and a huge advantage in the World Championship title race.
