Bubba Wallace recently made a major announcement about his personal life. He and his wife Amanda Carter both announced on social media that they're soon going to be parents.

Wallace and Carter got engaged in July 2021 after dating for years and married on New Year's Eve in December 2022. They have known each other since childhood. And now their small family, which includes their dog, Asher, is about to grow.

In a joint social media post on Instagram, Wallace and Carter posted pictures with a sonogram and a caption that read:

"Spring has sprung. Summer will be rad. Fall is the first time, We’ll be mom and dad! Baby Wallace coming October 2024."

Wallace rather hilariously announced the news on X (formerly Twitter):

"Wife: “It would be the worst to have a baby on your birthday/birthday week” Me: “well damn…okay” Coming…my birthday week🤣🤣🤣," he wrote.

Bubba Wallace credits his wife Amanda for helping him with his mental health struggles

Throughout his NASCAR career, Bubba Wallace hasn't shied away from talking about his struggles with his mental health and spreading awareness. But over time, he has gotten better, and a big reason for that is his wife Amanda.

Leading up to their marriage, Amanda Carter claimed that she and Wallace have "such a good bond" that they love the time they spend together, so much so that they can sit around together all day and not get tired of each other.

Wallace revealed that after his friend Ryan Blaney won the Cup championship last season, he felt "little to no emotion". This was something that his wife noticed, even though he didn't have a reason or an explanation about how he was feeling.

Nevertheless, she was still there for him and helped him.

“I wake up and my wife’s there. She’s like, ‘How are you feeling today?’ And it’s like, one of those days. We keep each other on our toes. We play video games together. So she’s a massive help. And then the next thing you know, clock strikes 5 o’clock and it’s like, ‘How’s it going?’ and I’m good. It just kind of blows over," Wallace said in 2023 to the AP.

The 23XI Racing driver reassured his fans and anyone who goes through a similar thing, those who are "staring at a blank wall", he's with them.

Wallace added that the coming day is another day, another opportunity, and that they should keep after it.
