Former NASCAR Cup Series driver-turned-broadcaster Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently spoke about his interactions with Michael Jordan. The basketball legend and co-owner of 23XI Racing in the highest echelon of stock car racing managed to celebrate his first-ever victory while being present at the venue.

Tyler Reddick gave Jordan the opportunity to celebrate as the #45 Toyota Camry XSE driver crossed the checkered flag in P1 during the 2024 GEICO 500 as his fellow competitors wrecked around him.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently touched upon his interaction with the global sports icon and looked back at how he got a pair of Jordan sneakers signed by Micheal Jordan himself.

Doing the same as a favor for his best friend, Dale Jr. elaborated on the story in a recent episode of his popular podcast The Dale Jr. Download during the Ask Jr. section of the same. He elaborated on the whole exchange and said:

"My buddy Sean is a huge fan and has all the shoes. I'm usually not a thoughtful, caring person but I said to Sean 'Michael Jordan's going to come. I know you love Jordans. Do you got a pair that you would love to get autographed? I will ask him to sign them'."

He further added:

"He gave me this really unique pair in this special box. I took them to the driver's meeting and as soon as they announce that the meeting was over, it was like a mad dash to get to him. I hate to ask for autographs but it was for Sean."

How did Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s NASCAR Xfinity team perform at Talladega Superspeedway?

Often touted as a track where luck plays an equal part in the destiny of a driver and team, NASCAR's visit to Talladega Superspeedway this year was nothing different. With the weekend kicking off with the Xfinity Series race on Friday, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s team, JR Motorsports did not manage to do well at the 2.6-mile-long behemoth of an oval.

All four cars from the JR Motorsports stable were classified outside the top 20 in the final standings, with Sammy Smith bringing home the best result in P21.

The Ag-Pro 300 saw Richard Childress Racing driver Jesse Love take the checkered flag in P1 at the end of the 300-mile-long event. It remains to be seen how Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s NASCAR Xfinity Series team rebounds this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway.
