As per the latest developments, Denny Hamlin's 23XI Racing did not change its stance on the NASCAR Charter agreement. Hamlin, the team's co-owner recently touched upon this during the Watkins Glen race weekend, and revealed that his team did not have any further discussion with the governing body and the matter is still unresolved.
The NASCAR fraternity has been hot on the Charter disagreement between 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsport, and NASCAR. Michael Jordan and Hamlin's co-owned team did not comply with the latest Charter deal after they reportedly did not find a fair bargaining opportunity.
Hamlin, right from the start had a negative stance on the latest Charter deal, and even after the final date for the agreement was passed, his stance remained the same. As per Jeff Gluck, The Athletic journalist, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver revealed his current thoughts, and surprisingly, nothing has changed.
Reporting this, Gluck wrote on X,
"Denny Hamlin said 23XI has not had any further discussions with NASCAR since last week and he's not sure where the charter stuff goes from here."
Notably, Hamlin's stance remained the same during his recent interview with Frontstretch ahead of the Watkins Glen race on Sunday.
23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsport's decision to stay away from the latest Charter deal meant that a total of six Charters currently have no future. Two each from 23XI and FRM, and the other two are from Stewart-Haas Racing's.
SHR will be dissolved at the end of this season, and out of its four charters, two charters would reportedly move to 23XI and FRM (one each.)
Denny Hamlin termed 23XI Racing's charter situation as unfortunate

Denny Hamlin has opened up about his team's Charter deal saga against NASCAR and termed it as unfortunate. During the latest Actions Detrimental podcast, the #11 driver stated that NASCAR's decision to impose the new Charter agreement "was not appropriate."
"Really, not gonna comment a whole lot further than what was said in my media availability, which was a whole lot of nothing. Just because this is a serious situation and the statement that 23XI put out accurately summed it all up," he said.
"Curtis Polk had a few media members ask him questions yesterday which he answered, I would just kind of echo those statements. It's certainly an unfortunate situation. We were just put under a crazy timeline and just thought that it was not appropriate and decided to stand up and say, this is not right."
Currently, 23XI Racing fields two cars on a full-time basis belonging to Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace. Front Row Motorsport fields the same with Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland in the Cup Series for the 2024 season.
