Former ARCA winner Connor Mosack joins Kyle Busch as Spire Motorsports' part-time driver of #7 NASCAR Truck entry

Connor Mosack joins Kyle Busch to compete in select races for Spire Motorsports in the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season, the team announced on Tuesday, April 23.

Mosack, who spent much of the last season competing in the Xfinity Series, will drive Spire Motorsports’ #7 Chevrolet in five events. The 25-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina native, will make his first Truck Series start with the team in the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway on May 4.

Mosack will return to the #7 entry in events at Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 24), Pocono Raceway (July 12), Kansas Speedway (September 27), and Homestead-Miami Speedway (October 26).

In a team release, speaking about his five-race schedule with the race-winning organization, Mosack said:

“I’m really excited to run these handful of races with Spire this year. The 7 team has been really strong and the tracks we’re going to are some of my favorites. Thank you to Spire, Chevrolet, and PRG for giving me the opportunity.”

Connor Mosack made his first Truck Series start in 2024 with Niece Motorsports at Las Vegas Speedway, finishing P19. He will also compete in three more races with them in the series. Last year, he also earned his first ARCA Menards Series victory with Joe Gibbs Racing at Kansas.

Mosack has made 26 starts in the Xfinity Series and earned two top-10 finishes. His career-best finish of fifth place came at Watkins Glen International.

Along with Kyle Busch and Connor Mosack drivers who are also a part of #7 Spire Motorsports’ driver lineup are Sammy Smith, Corey LaJoie, and Connor Zilisch.


Kyle Busch has two wins in four races in Spire Motorsports’ #7 this season

The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion holds the record for winning the most number of wins in NASCAR’s third-tier series with 66.

In his four of the five-race truck schedule this season, Kyle Busch recorded P1, P15, P2, and P1. His two wins of the season came at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

He will make his fifth and last truck appearance in Spire Motorsports’ #7 Chevrolet at Darlington Raceway on May 10. Before that, catch him in the NASCAR Cup Series’ Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend at 2 p.m. ET.
