He then overtook Blaney's car in lap 266 using the high lane and snuck the victory.Reddick highlighted that he had been in situations like this a few times this year, but he "screwed it every single time." He added that both the drivers were waiting for each other to take the leap and take action."Once he left that lane open on the top, I knew I had a split second. I just had to drive it in as deep as possible. I had to get at least even with him on the outside so he could run me up into the wall and keep on going, which, with everything on the line, it's so easy to just absolutely use somebody up in this situation. And he raised me really fair and square. Just a big shock that I was able to get that deep into the corner and not smoke the fence," stated Tyler Reddick. [00:21]Dale Earnhardt Jr. was surprised by Reddick's maneuver and asked the #45 driver how he executed the move successfully. He replied:"I don't know. I really don't know. I had no mark to really go off of. I just literally drove it in the corner if I hit the wall, whatever. For me to have a shot at winning that race, I had to try to get ahead, or at least even with them on corner entry." The Florida native mentioned he had to apply breaks and slow down to avoid any potential wreck due to Reddick's aggressive driving because the track didn't have a lot of grip."So I slow down to keep from, keep an ability for me to maneuver when these two get together, because I was very surprised they didn't come off the corner, side by side, door banging. But the 45 just had so much speed. He ripped the door numbers off the 12," explained Denny Hamlin. [00:27]He added:"He could, but he was racing him fair, right? He didn't the 45 didn't do anything to, you know, garnish getting shoved in the fence. But I mean, hey, we're all going for the win, and you never know what can happen. And I think the 12 race them as absolute fair as he could. And certainly the 45 got there so quickly it would have been too late to try to shut that off. So I think the 12 was just content on Let me try to run the best speed I can in the lane that I've chosen." [00:55]Denny Hamlin was 0.568 seconds behind Tyler Reddick and finished in third.
