“I’m freaking out”: Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife Amy reveals tricky leech situation in his absence

Amy Earnhardt, the wife of Dale Earnhardt Jr., recently shared a story about an incident involving swans and leeches. She recalled a story of when Dale was not present and leeches had stuck one of the children playing with the swans and how she was “freaking out” about the whole situation.

Amy is an accomplished interior designer and the wife of Dale Jr. They met in 2009 when he hired her to redesign his North Carolina home. The couple started dating soon after.

The two got engaged in 2015 and married on New Year’s Eve in 2016. Amy frequently makes appearances on Dale Jr.‘s podcast adventures like the Dale Jr. Download. They also have two daughters, Isla (born in 2018) and Nicole (born in 2020).

On the couple’s podcast Bless Your Hardt, Amy Earnhardt recounted the story to Dale Earnhardt Jr. She said:

"I noticed that when Cleo comes out of the water, she's got something hanging from her chest. I'm like, 'Oh maybe it's just like a piece of sludge or something' because you know the pond's been vacant for so long. It was a leech and not just one but there were three hanging from her chest and I'm thinking, 'Okay of course our swans are going to have leeches. Of course this is something that we have to deal with. Of course Dale's not here. Of course this is what's happening and I'm freaking out...'"

"...Luckily the leeches fell off on their own. I didn't have to go after her with like pinchers or grabber. I'm getting like kitchen tongs. I got a pile of stuff the next morning to go down to the swamp."

Now retired from full-time racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has transitioned into a successful career as a NASCAR commentator with Amazon Prime Video and continues to be active in the sport’s community. He often uses his racing experience to guide young drivers towards becoming professional on his podcast appearances. He also owns the successful Xfinity Series team, JR Motorsports.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife revealed her 'favorite child' on IG story

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife recently shared a playful moment on Instagram, revealing her "favorite child" is actually the family's beloved dog, Junebug. Amy, who often gives fans glimpses into her family life with on social media, posted an adorable picture of Junebug, sparking lighthearted reactions from her followers.

"Favourite child," she captioned the picture on Instagram.

In follow-up Instagram stories post, Amy also addressed concerns about Junebug's health, updating fans that the dog is doing well despite having an enlarged heart and a heart murmur, conditions that require lifelong medication
