Christopher Bell absolutely loves the venues that NASCAR selected for this year's Round of 8 races. Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Martinsville Speedway: according to Bell, these tracks are gold mines that just showcase "amazing racing".Christopher Bell drives the No. 20 Toyota Camry full-time for Joe Gibbs Racing. He is a nine-time winner in the Cup Series with his most recent victory coming at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in June. Besides that, Bell has 19 career wins in the Xfinity Series and seven in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He won his sole Truck Series championship in 2017.The Norman, Oklahoma native delivered a P4 finish at Homestead-Miami on Sunday. Although he had finished inside the top-3 last week at Las Vegas, for Bell, the comfort of delivering a top-5 felt better than the agony of missing out on a close win. Bell told Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports."I feel a lot better today than I did after Las Vegas; that's for sure. It's gonna be a battle. I knew when the checkered flag flew at Las Vegas that it was going to be a battle to get into the final four, and that's the way it should be."Bell further stated:"I'm excited about it. This Round of 8 that we've had this year... these racetracks... it's just a goldmine. We've seen amazing racing. That last eight laps at Homestead was as good as it gets." The last race of this round is scheduled for next week, i.e., November 3, from 2 PM ET onwards. The 500-lap race at Martinsville will stream live on NBC, with radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.Christopher Bell let his emotions loose following Las Vegas heartbreakChristopher Bell speaks with the reporters before practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race on October 19, 2024, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Source: Getty)Christopher Bell is one of those drivers who do not usually cuss on the radio. However, he made an exception following last week's playoff race at Las Vegas. Bell fumed,"You gotta be (expletive) kidding me!"Later on, Bell explained why he had used the f-word. Bell said as quoted by NBC:"I try to not curse, but in the moment it was a very passionate, I don’t know, I was just overcome by emotion at that point in time. I don’t know what else to say other than I just didn’t even think about what I was saying. It was just emotion and disappointment and, yeah, just passion."Bell continued,"Everything went literally exactly how we dreamed it up. And we still lost the race. You’ll have that."Christopher Bell is now one of the top seeds going to Martinsville next week. As of today, he sits on a 29-point cushion on the provisional cutline. Moreover, Bell leads the field with 4132 points to his name. He can either win the upcoming race or maintain enough points advantage to advance to the Championship 4.
