Since entering NASCAR in 2006, AJ Allmendinger of Kaulig Racing has competed against some true legends. He has recently heaped Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports with high honors.

Kyle Larson will be the team's driver in the 108th Indianapolis 500 the following year. Pato O'Ward, Alexander Rossi, who won the 100th Indianapolis 500 in 2023, and Felix Rosenqvist are the team's three regular drivers.

Tony Kanaan, the winner of the 2013 Indianapolis 500, has a second car registered for this year's race. AJ Allmendinger recently commented on Larson competing in Indy 500.

He said:

"Larson is the baddest man on this planet when it comes to a racecar, his expectation should be to win the race."

Kyle Larson began the immersion process earlier this week in order to be ready for the 2024 Indianapolis 500. Larson has the opportunity to realize the youth aspirations he had with his own father thanks to a two-year contract between Arrow McLaren Racing and the 2021 NASCAR champion with Hendrick Motorsports.

According to Gavin Ward, the team is currently debating whether Larson will test ahead of the Indy 500 Open test in 2019. Larson will be in the Chevy IndyCar simulator, which is located right adjacent to the Hendrick Motorsports headquarters in Concord, North Carolina.

Jeff Gordon is delighted with both the way Ward manages the business and the racing team that Zak Brown built after acquiring Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. Sam Schmidt, a former racer, and Ric Petersen still hold a minor portion of the team, although McLaren controls three-quarters of it.

As a flexible driver in today's racing, Kyle Larson has won in the NASCAR Cup Series and competed in everything from USAC Midgets to Late Model Stock cars to World of Outlaws Sprints.

Ahead of Sunday night's All-Star Race, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson set the quickest average lap speed with 109.143 mph during Friday's 50-minute practice session at the .625-mile track.

Daniel Suarez, the first driver on the circuit, spun around off Turn 4 and made very minimal contact with the wall with the back of his No. 99 Chevrolet less than two minutes into the practice.

Despite the track's uneven surface, which wasn't resurfaced again until 1981, it ended up being the only major event that occurred during practice.

Denny Hamlin finished third, and Brad Keselowski was second. Keselowski's RFK Racing teammate, Chris Buescher, finished fourth, while Chase Briscoe completed the top five. Briscoe ran the most laps overall.

Among the drivers who completed at least 10 consecutive laps, Byron's average lap speed of 106.458 mph was the highest. Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell came after him.
