After Tyler Reddick won the race at Talladega, one of his team owners, a certain Michael Jordan celebrated the victory with Reddick's 4-year-old son Beau. After the race, Reddick was asked an interesting question regarding his son and his team owner.

During a post-race conference, Reddick was asked whether his son Beau thinks of Jordan as an NBA player or as someone who has a shoe company, the Jordan brand. Reddick remarked that it was a good question and revealed that his son still thinks of Jordan as "the guy with the shoes."

Having said that, Reddick admitted that he has some teaching to do when it comes to Michael Jordan with his son. As per Speedway Digest, Reddick said:

"I haven’t done a great job, and you just gave me some ideas of what to do in the future. I’ve got to probably play some highlights, some Finals matchups, and educate Beau a little bit better. He knows who Michael is obviously, but yeah, obviously he sees a lot of the shoes, but that’s some homework I can do. Play some old-school games for him so he can get a real good feel of how dominant he was in his prime".

Tyler Reddick remains partial to his boss Michael Jordan

As Tyler Reddick described how he has to show the prime Michael Jordan to his son Beau, a reporter remarked that Reddick himself must've been seven years old when Jordan retired. So how does he remember the prime Jordan?

The #45 driver revealed that he loves watching highlights in his response looking to praise his boss a little. He said:

"Love watching the games. It’s incredible, right? He’s one of the best to do it. There’s a couple that have been that good for that long, but obviously I’m going to be partial to my boss".

Throughout the last few years, Jordan had attended a lot of NASCAR races, but never did he see his team in the victory lane. 23XI had won five races before this, Talladega in 2021, Kansas on both occasions in 2022, and Kansas again in 2023, but Jordan was not in attendance for those races.

At Talladega recently, that all changed and the jubilation and happiness it brought to the former NBA player who is pretty well known for his obsession with winning was on display for everyone to see.

So going forward, Reddick and his teammate Bubba Wallace would hope to bring more of such moments for their boss.
