NASCAR is an extremely competitive sport working at the highest level of stock car racing. The teams in NASCAR are managed and owned by some of the wealthiest and most successful people who have a flair for being the best in the business. There are many big names in the sport like Richard Childress, Rick Hendrick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty who have fielded some of the best teams in NASCAR. A NASCAR team can field up to four competitive cars provided they have the resources.

In NASCAR managing a full-time Cup Series team is a very difficult task. The schedule involves 36 back to back races throughout the season. Every team needs to have a certain number of members in the pit crew and the management for their respective drivers.

The final straw comes with the sponsors, who are the backbone behind their funding. There are many smaller teams who had to stop their business in the Cup Series due to lack of such resources or poor results. However, the pomp and glamor of NASCAR racing attracts many popular celebrities who try to take a shot at fielding a NASCAR Cup Series car.
