The Jacksonville Jaguars were pleased to reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season. They even beat the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round, thanks to a stunning comeback victory.

However, Doug Pederson's team was eliminated from the postseason by the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional round. The Jaguars will now look to build on their return to the playoffs by strengthening their squad in the offseason.

The team will also be looking to free up some space on its roster. Here are all the Jacksonville players who will enter free agency in the 2023 offseason:

  • C.J. Beathard (QB)
  • Marvin Jones, Jr. (WR)
  • JaMychal Hasty (RB)
  • Evan Engram (TE)
  • Chris Manhertz (TE)
  • Dan Arnold (TE)
  • Blake Hance (OT)
  • Brandon Muphy (OT)
  • Jawaan Taylor (OT)
  • Tre Herndon (CB)
  • Andrew Wingard (S)
  • Corey Peters (DT)
  • Dawuane Smoot (DE)
  • Arden Key (DE)
  • Adam Gotsis (DE)
  • Riley Patterson (K)

Evan Engram will be a key priority for the Jaguars heading into the offseason. The tight end formed a strong partnership with quarterback Trevor Lawrence throughout their season. He finished the regular season with 733 yards on 73 passes and four touchdowns.

Receiver Marvin Jones Jr. racked up 529 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season. However, the Jaguars may have second thoughts about re-signing him as he turns 33 in a few months.

Re-signing Jawaan Taylor may be another sensible option for Jacksonville. The right tackle allowed seven penalties and five sacks. At 25, he could be a long-term option for the team.

What positions will the Jacksonville Jaguars focus on during free agency?

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be eager to add another top-notch cornerback to their roster. The team has Tyson Campbell and Darious Williams, but they'll need another cornerback to strengthen their backline.

More so, Tre Herndon is set to become a free agent in the offseason. It will be interesting to see whether Herndon will sign an extension with the team or not.

A top quality cornerback will certainly add more quality to the Jaguars' defense. With a strong foundation, they could potentially hope to make a deep run into the playoffs, as well, next season.
