Jordan Poyer is one of the most important pieces for the Buffalo Bills' defense. He is currently in his sixth season with the team. However, Poyer's wife, model Rachel Bush, said that the defensive star could play elsewhere after the 2022-23 season. Bush took to her Instagram profile and posted that her husband could be in another uniform in the next season.
She also wrote that she would love for her husband to be a member of the Dallas Cowboys next season.
In 2017, Buffalo initially signed the safety to a four-year, $13 million contract. In March 2020, Poyer got a two-year extension worth $19.5 million that kept him with the Bills through this season. Poyer has started 87 games in his career with the Bills, making first-team All-Pro last season.
In the 2021-22 season, he had five interceptions, three sacks, and 93 tackles. Poyer was joint first on the team for interceptions and second in tackles that season. Jordan Poyer was drafted in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played just three games for the team before being released by them.
The safety was then picked up by the Cleveland Browns. Poyer played eight games for the Browns in the 2013-14 season.
He went on to play three full seasons for Cleveland, getting two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a sack in his time with the team. The 31-year-old joined the Buffalo Bills ahead of the 2017-18 season.
