Sandeep Tomar: A Brief Biography
Amidst controversies around his selection, Sandeep Tomar, who plays in the men’s 57 kg freestyle category, will join three other wrestlers to Rio Olympics. In 2012 National Wrestling Championships Tomar won the gold medal at the National Championships in the 55 kg category. Hailing from Sonepat in Haryana, Tomar has previously won gold medals at the 2016 Asian Wrestling Championships and the 2013 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship.
