Seema Punia


Seema Punia is an Indian discus thrower whose personal best is recorded at 64.84 m achieved in August 2004 in Kiev. She originally won a gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships but was stripped of the honour after having tested positive for a particular drug. Two years later she went on to win a bronze at the 2000 World Junior Championships. She won the silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and was honoured with Bhim Award by the Haryana state government on 26 June 2006. She won the bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
