#2) Will Daniel LaRusso and Terry Silver fight in season 5?
The animosity between Daniel and Silver could finally reach its breaking point and in season 5. Silver was introduced in Karate Kid III, where he manipulated Daniel and damaged his relationship with Mr. Miyagi. He also terrorized him and forced him to fight in the All-Valley tournament.
In season 4, Silver reappeared and essentially picked up where he left off. After his attempt at an apology isn’t accepted Daniel, he makes it his mission to antagonize Miyagi-Do and Eagle-Fang. It’s interesting to point out that Daniel and Silver never had a climactic fight in Karate Kid III. Instead, Daniel won the All-Valley tournament at the end the film.
Silver and Daniel share a couple of scenes together in season 4, but it’s Johnny who ends up fighting him. With that in mind, season 5 could finally see Daniel get revenge on Silver for what he put him through.
#1) Will Mike Barnes return and align with Terry Silver in season 5?
The biggest question that could be answered is whether Mike Barnes will finally appear in season 5. Barnes, played by Sean Kanan, served as the villain along with Silver in Karate Kid III. Fans of the series have wondered when ‘Karate’s Bad Boy’ would rekindle his rivalry with Daniel. He has expressed interest in joining the cast, so it could be inevitable.
After the events that took place in season 4, next season could see him return to help run Cobra Kai. While Kreese was arrested in the season 4 finale, Silver hints at what's to come. He mentioned that he’s sure he could find “a friend or two to help out with Cobra Kai.”
Based on what Silver said, the logical choice would be Barnes. There’s history between the two from Karate Kid III and Silver may’ve been plotting his revenge prior to joining Kreese. His addition also ties-in to Johnny and Kreese’s story as they could find out who the better Cobra Kai fighter was.
