With President Joe Biden dropping out of the upcoming presidential election, computer programmer and business mogul John David McAfee’s prediction about the same went viral today, July 22, 2024. Just a year before the latter’s passing, he said in 2020 that Joe Biden would drop out of the presidential race. Although McAfee’s prediction was about the 2020 elections, the claims have left the internet shocked nonetheless.

Social media personality Keemstar took to X to share a tweet that included a picture of McAfee’s tweet, which dated back to July 18, 2020. The tweet read:

“Russia’s first time traveller has returned. Guess what he said: In September Biden is medically diagnosed as unfit for office and quits. They discover that the DNC has legal power to choose a replacement without a National vote! Weird huh? You’ll never guess who they chose.”

Keemstar was one of the many who shared McAfee’s tweet about Joe Biden. The former’s social media post had amassed over 15 million views at the time of writing this article.

It appears as if McAfee’s prediction is not the furthest from the truth, as Joe Biden is out of the race. Many have assumed that the withdrawal has to do with the rising concerns over his health.

While reacting to John David McAfee’s prediction, people said:

After Joe Biden took to X to announce his withdrawal from the race, he also endorsed Kamala Harris for the oval office. Meanwhile, other reactions to the prediction regarding the president read:

Social media personality Dom Lucre also took to X to claim that McAfee’s web security ran across the White House computers, giving McAfee “access to Hillary Clinton’s emails, among other things.” Meanwhile, other tweets read:

What happened to John McAfee? Details revealed as tweet regarding Joe Biden resurfaces online

On June 23, 2021, John McAfee died by suicide while in a Barcelona prison. His lawyer, Javier Villalba, said in a press statement that the anti-virus software pioneer hung himself after spending nine months in prison.

He was 75 years old at the time of his passing.

John McAfee was arrested in Guatemala on charges of illegal entry into the country. The two-time presidential candidate was attempting to get out of Belize after his neighbor was found dead by gunshot in late 2012. He was a person of interest in the case as the duo reportedly did not get along well.

Prior to that, McAfee’s Belize residence was raided on suspicion of methamphetamine production.

He was also indicted by the US Justice Department after McAfee alleged that he evaded tax on millions of dollars of his income. He was arrested for the same in Spain later on. However, he died by suicide in his prison cell.
