ITV confirmed the release of Celebrity Big Brother in 2024 via their official Instagram account, as they shared a reel with the caption:
"Celebrities… Big Brother is coming to get you 👁️ Coming 2024 to ITV1 and ITVX #CBBUK."
2011 Celebrity Big Brother twin stars, Edward and John Grimes took to the comments section of the post and wrote, "Ok, we're down," making fans speculate about the possibility of them joining the 2024 season of the hit reality TV show.
As per a report by Entertainment Daily, leaks suggest that Celebrity Big Brother 2024 contestants will allegedly include American actor John Barrowman, drag queen Baga Chipz, and television presenter Linda Robson. Apart from this, Gary Lucy, Joey Essex, and Scarlett Moffatt are also reportedly set to be part of the show.
The Mirror also reported that the house members in the new season of the show will allegedly include Love Island star Curtis Pritchard.
Moreover, Richard Blackwood, Nicola Adams, and the well-renowned X-Factor judge Louis Walsh along with Matthew Wolfenden, Tinchy Stryder, Ade Adepitan, Miriam Margolyes, and Chelsee Healey are also reportedly set to appear on the show.
Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, was earlier rumored to be part of the show. However, she denied all rumors about her alleged involvement in Celebrity Big Brother 2024. Her representatives spoke to Entertainment Daily and shared a statement mentioning that the Duchess will not join the cast of the reality TV show.
“This story is complete nonsense. The Duchess will not be appearing on this show. As is widely known, she does not consider reality TV formats,” they said.
It is important to note that ITV has not yet released a list of contestants set to enter the house in the 2024 installment of the show. In a statement shared with Entertainment Daily, a Big Brother spokesperson clarified that the alleged list of housemates that has surfaced online is based on "pure speculation."
“Any housemate suggestions for Celebrity Big Brother are pure speculation,” the statement read.
