Amid reports of Young Thug's alleged leaked audio exchange with detectives during his RICO trial, X page @mymixtapez posted a screenshot on August 29, 2025, reporting:"21 Savage has unfollowed Young Thug after his snitching allegations 👀"The snitching allegations follow Thug's reportedly leaked interrogation audio, where he is accused of ratting out YSL associate Peewee Roscoe. While @mymixtapez's tweet has garnered over 850K views at the time of this writing, the claim about 21 Savage unfollowing Young Thug is false. No reputable media outlet or hip-hop social media page has reported this. Additionally, 21 Savage's Instagram follow list still shows Thugger as someone he follows, contradicting the X page's claims.21 Savage's follow list on Instagram (Image via Instagram/ @21savage)Contrary to what the X page suggested, a recent online spat between Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams II, and 21 Savage showed that they were still on friendly terms. In July 2025, the two rappers had a funny exchange where Thug posted a picture of 21 Savage with Taylor Swift and a sneaker collection, and 21 responded by sharing an old photo of Jeffery with Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come as the background music. Thug and 21 Savage have been close since they announced their tour together for Thug's HIHORSE'D tour, followed by their 2017 joint track with Drake called ISSA. Young Thug sets the record straight on snitching allegations amid alleged interrogation audio leakIn the unverified audio, which is alleged to be Young Thug's interrogation clip from his YSL RICO trial, a male voice, presumed to be Thug's, was asked about a series of crimes that his YSL associates were reportedly involved in. In the nearly two-hour clip, the male voice mentions multiple people, including Peewee Roscoe. For the unversed, Roscoe was accused of shooting at Lil Wayne's tour bus in 2015. According to Vibe's report dated August 28, 2025, the leaked audio is reportedly two years old. Additionally, the audio features the male voice saying that he does not know who shot at Lil Wayne's tour bus, saying:“They said Roscoe, but I don’t wanna block out y’all’s case by saying Roscoe ain’t do that."Shortly after the interrogation audio leak, netizens started calling Young Thug a 'snitch' and a 'rat.' To clarify the situation, Thug took to X on August 27, 2025, and wrote:Thug's tweet clarifying snitching allegations (Image via X/ @youngthug)Furthermore, YSL associate Peewee Roscoe addressed his relationship with Thug in a video, calling him "clean as Listerine" to counter rumors that Thug had snitched."Clean as ivory soap, ya feel me? I done the time. I did that. That’s what you do. When you go into the interrogation room, that’s what you do. He did what a real street n***a [was supposed to do].”Peewee Roscoe also said that he felt like Thug "kept it overly real" and "kept it silent."Young Thug was one of the key YSL personnel accused of being part of a criminal street gang called Young Slime Life (YSL), which was alleged to be involved in crimes such as drug dealing, murders, and shootings.Thug's trial started in 2023 and ended in October 2024, after he pleaded guilty. He is currently serving 15 years of strict probation, and any violation during his probation could result in a backloaded prison sentence of up to 20 years.
