However, only a few influencers and chosen Dress to Impress users were given access to Lady Gaga, resulting in the game receiving backlash from users. Addressing the issue, the video game's community manager, Bea, took to X and issued an apology for the inconvenience caused to fans.

"Our poor wording was completely an oversight": Dress To Impress apologizes to fans for misleading Lady Gaga event ad

In a lengthy tweet apologizing to the attendees of Lady Gaga's Dress To Impress meet-and-greet event, the video game's community manager professed her regret for her defensiveness toward fans. She called her behavior unprofessional and "not acceptable."

Bea added that she was caught up in the moment and that she'll keep the users' feedback in mind before responding. Stating an apology, Dress To Impress' official account mentioned:

"We're very, very sorry that the event marketing was misleading to many of you. This is the first time we have done something this big, but that doesn't excuse the fact that we missed the mark."

The video game added that the team will make a better effort to ensure that their future messaging is clear enough for their audience, so that they know what to expect. The Roblox game mentioned that while they were proud of the event, they acknowledged the pitfalls that resulted in Lady Gaga's event feeling a little boring toward the end.

"This is a learning experience for us, one which will help us to shape the future events in a way that is much more enjoyable for you all. We should have been clearer that this was a broadcast event across all servers, and not a direct meet with Gaga herself." Dress To Impress added

Additionally, the online video game's team mentioned that their apology wasn't an excuse to not hold them accountable, acknowledging the main issue, writing:

"Our poor wording was completely an oversight on our part, and we are deeply sorry for it."

Toward the end of the apology tweet, the video game's team stated that everyone in the community was equally important to them, even though the event made it appear as if they were prioritizing certain groups of people. Taking the entire blame on themselves, the Dress To Impress team requested netizens to avoid targeting influencers or the Discord Moderators who were part of Lady Gaga's virtual meet-and-greet event.
