"I never thought I’d be acting, and now I’m writing and producing as well, and LOVING IT": DC's Peacemaker star Brey Noelle details working with John Cena, James Gunn, her creative journey so far and more

Q) Hi Brey! If you had to briefly introduce yourself to our readers, how would you sum it up in your own fun way?

Brey: Hey guys! My name is Brey Noelle, and I am an actor, model, singer/songwriter, and filmmaker.

I was cast in the DC Universe as the character White Rabbit, making my debut in Season 2, Episode 1 of the HBO TV show Peacemaker!

Q) Could you tell us about your journey so far?

Ad

What got you started on your acting journey, and how were you introduced to the world of films and acting?

Brey: My journey has felt all over the place, haha. As a kid, I never really knew much about the acting world. In fact, music was always my main focus. I was a classical concert pianist performing at a young age, while also singing pop, jazz, and soul in various groups across the country and a bit internationally.

While recording and performing pop music in Los Angeles, I decided to start modeling. Later, I took a break from music and launched a YouTube channel to tell comedic stories from my life.

I always needed an outlet where I could express my full personality, and when I wasn’t performing music on stage, I didn’t have that. YouTube quickly became a fun, creative space for me.

When I moved to Nashville, TN, to return to music, my channel was discovered by a writer/director who thought I’d be perfect for a short film.

At first, I thought it was a scam, but after researching the cast and producers, I realized it was legitimate, and said yes! That film, along with the acting community I connected with in Nashville, made me intentionally pursue acting.

I signed with my first theatrical agent and booked work immediately, filming three Lifetime movies in six months, including one as a lead. Since all the films were shooting in Atlanta, I relocated there, and I’ve been working and building a life I love for the past four years!

You never know where life’s twists and turns will take you. I never thought I’d be acting, and now I’m writing and producing as well, and LOVING IT. I’m still modeling and making music too. I never realized how much love I’d have for so many different art forms.

Q) Tell us a bit about your childhood.

Is there any memorable anecdote from your younger days that left a lasting impact on your pursuit of entertainment?

Ad

Brey: I’ll never forget Christmas when I was four and a half. My mom, my older sister, and I prepared a Christmas song to perform at church on Christmas Eve. My mom, being the incredible musician she is, knew I could handle vocal parts even at a young age.

Before going on stage, I was so nervous I felt sick, but my mom reminded me how much I loved singing and encouraged me to just have fun. I faced that fear, got on stage, and the moment I opened my mouth to sing, I felt alive and electric. Afterwards, I could hardly contain my excitement.

That moment showed me I loved being on stage, even though it terrified me. It was scary, but also the most rewarding feeling, and I’ve held onto that ever since.

Q) Something fun for our readers back home—how acquainted are you with the world of Bollywood cinema and music? Any personal favorites as such?

Brey: Oh my gosh, I remember the first time I saw a Bollywood film as a teenager! My friend introduced me to it after explaining what it was, since I had somehow never heard of it. I was shocked I hadn’t seen one before! The dancing, music, and humor quickly became a love of mine.

Ad

I’m pretty sure Priyanka Chopra was the lead, and she’s still one of my favorite actors. I’m not super versed in Bollywood films yet, but whenever my friend suggests one, I’m always in! :)

Q) Tell us what it was like being on the set of a beloved fan-favorite show like Peacemaker.

What can viewers expect from the new season?

Ad

Brey: I am so grateful to have been on the set of Peacemaker, working with James Gunn and John Cena. Everyone on set was kind, fun, and full of good energy.

Whether I was in the makeup chair, waiting on set, or hearing “action,” the atmosphere was always so positive and enthusiastic.

I can’t share much about the show, except that you won’t want to miss it! So keep watching, lol!

Brey: I didn’t know much about White Rabbit prior to auditioning, but when I researched her, I was fascinated!

She isn’t deeply explored in the DC Universe, which gave me freedom to dive into her motivations and intentions.

She’s still a bit of a mystery to fans, and I look forward to her becoming more present moving forward.

Q) You’ve worked alongside WWE superstar and Hollywood actor John Cena on the show's latest season.

What was that experience like?

Brey: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about John Cena.

He was kind, a true gentleman, positive, and very genuine.

When working, he’s incredibly focused and “in the zone”, and I loved that! I really enjoyed being “in the moment” with him.

Q) And what was it like being directed by a superhero stalwart in James Gunn?

Brey: Working with James Gunn was so much fun! He’s truly brilliant, down-to-earth, and has such a relaxed energy.

His directing style put me at ease, and his positivity made the experience even better.

Ad

The fact that he can bring his massive vision to life while remaining personable and enjoyable to work with is incredibly impressive.

Q) Apart from Peacemaker, you’ve also sung on YouTube and worked on a host of other acting projects.

What got you started on YouTube, and how did the transition to acting take place?

Brey: I had done some improv and acting before, but never considered it a career path. When I started my YouTube channel, I just wanted to have a voice in the world. As a model, I felt it was important to show people who I was beyond an image.

Ad

Through YouTube, I was scouted for a film role, and that experience convinced me to pursue acting. It was the best decision I could have made, it’s opened so many doors, from Lifetime movies to indie films to festivals, and even into writing and producing.

Ad

I also have new music coming out soon, including my second album as a soul/pop artist. My upcoming single, What If Imma, releases this fall. You can find my other music on Spotify and iTunes.

I firmly believe there’s always opportunity if you keep your eyes open, and it’s never too late to build a life you love!

Q) Tell us about a memorable on-set incident and the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far as an actor.

Ad

Brey: One memory that stands out was from a faith-based drama I led. The film had many emotional moments, but my co-star and I made each other laugh constantly off-camera. At one point, we had everyone laughing so hard that the director had to pause filming until we stopped.

That experience taught me how important it is to enjoy the people you work with, it makes such a difference.

As for lessons, the biggest one has been the power of saying “no.” I’ve always had strong instincts, and saying no when something didn’t feel right has sometimes upset people or seemed like I was limiting opportunities.

Ad

But in the long run, it’s protected me and even pushed others to find better solutions. Two producers actually thanked me for saying no because it forced creativity.

Staying true to myself, even when it’s hard, has been the most important takeaway.

Q) What’s the hardest challenge about being a rising actor in today’s entertainment industry?

Brey: The hardest challenge is remembering to keep my eyes on my own path, daily. It’s easy to compare yourself to others and get anxious, but comparison can derail authenticity.

Ad

Everyone’s path is different, and there’s no formula. For me, it’s about staying true and enjoying the process as it unfolds.

Q) What are some of your hobbies or stress-busters beyond acting?

Brey: I LOVE being outdoors in nature, it always brings me peace and clarity. My faith is a big foundation for me, and nature reminds me of how vast God is.

I also love traveling, food, culture, coffee, and wine. Experiencing the world through food and conversation is my favorite thing! I try to recreate that at home by hosting friends, cooking, baking desserts, and of course serving wine.

Ad

Hosting gatherings and creating community is my absolute favorite way of life.

Q) If not acting, what career path would you have chosen?

Brey: I’m a creative entrepreneur at heart, so everything I do blends together. If I wasn’t acting, I’d still be writing and performing music or traveling and creating content.

I could also see myself owning a vineyard in Italy one day and creating experiences for people to enjoy!

Ad

Q) Any upcoming projects? And what would your dream role be?

Ad

Brey: I’m co-writing, producing, and starring in The Living Tree, a sci-fi horror film about AI, which will stream in early 2026. I’m also working on a satirical comedy called Tingles about an ASMR influencer, which films soon.

As for a dream role, honestly, I’d love something that combines comedy, drama, and combat.

I love making people laugh and cry, and I love the physicality of combat work. So maybe I’ll just create that role myself!

Ad

Q) What advice would you give aspiring artists or actors—something you wish you knew when starting out?

Brey: My best advice: remember there are no limits unless you believe there are. Opportunities are everywhere if you keep your eyes open.

Stay true to yourself 100% of the time, and the right doors will open at the right time.

Don’t chase formulas, pave your own path. Trust the process, lead with love and gratitude, and always prioritize the people you love. They’re what matter most.
