Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown and her husband, Josiah Lorton, were recently arrested on an alleged charge of burglary. She has now shared her statement via Instagram, denying all claims.
As per US Weekly, Brown and her husband were arrested on Friday, April 11, in Washington and booked into the Okanogan County jail. They were released on April 14.
In an Instagram post on April 21, Rain Brown shared her disappointment in the rumors around their arrest. She also urged her followers to hear her side of the story. She shared a Bible verse on her Instagram account that read:
“This is a bible verse i give it to y’all. ‘Judge not lest ye be judged. For with what judgment, ye judge, ye shall be judged.’”
In the caption, Rain Brown wrote:
"It hurts my heart that my rainbows would choose to believe the lies that my old manager who stole $43,000 from me and abused me instead of maybe thinking ‘oh no who is saying this about Rain?’ not ‘wow what a waste,’. It deeply hurts my heart. With all this said I hope y’all will stick around to hear my side of the story. God bless y’all.”

As per US Weekly, the couple was arrested for burglary and trespassing on April 11, 2025. Rain Brown was booked under her full legal name - Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop Brown.
The 'Alaskan Bush People' star was charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree malicious mischief, and second-degree criminal trespassing. Meanwhile, her husband, Josiah Lorton, was charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree malicious mischief.
Further details about the case haven't been released to the public. However, the couple was released on April 14 on their own recognizance.
Rain Brown shared her struggle with mental health last year
The Alaskan Bush People star shared her struggle with mental health and how she dealt with it in November last year. She used her mother, Amora L. Brown's, Instagram account to share an update with her fans.
Rain Brown wrote:
"Hey everybody! Rain, here! I know it’s been quite awhile since I came on any platform, and said anything, and I wanted to steal my mom’s account to give you guys an update! Since we last spoke I have sought out help from a hospital for my mental health, got back into counseling, moved, got married, and adopted about 8 cats/kittens."
"Needlessly, to say, my heart is very full, and I am enjoying my life to the fullest! I wanted to give a special shout out, to my mother, and my dear sweet husband Josiah for supporting me as they do, and loving me even when it’s difficult."
Rain Brown explained that her mental health "disabled" her in some ways, and she asserted that it needs to be called an "illness." She further urged her fans to recognize that the brain is an organ as well, and it needs to be treated properly.
She added that people need to take care of their mental health and take medication, if required.
