Piper Rockelle shares cryptic social media posts

In a recent post on her Instagram account, Piper Rockelle wrote over the video:

"Can't wait to tell my own story and not have other people tell it for me."

In the video, she was lip-syncing to Alina's i know, i know, i know, singing:

"Draw another line, say a quick goodbye... Never care to take the time, baby... Look at me like that... Are you feeling bad?... Know you think i’m all attached, but i’m... Not an idiot, never thought you’d pick me... Don’t got much here to offer."

Since just before the release of Bad Influence on April 9, 2025, Piper Rockelle has made a few cryptic posts on Instagram. For instance, on April 6, she posted a video, mouthing the following lyrics from Lady Gaga's Bad Romance:

"I don't wanna be friends."

She also partnered with an AI "friend," Tolan, to speak about the documentary, stating that people are spreading rumors. She explained:

"This rumor unfortunately has kind of hurt my lifestyle in a lot of ways, but I've just kept going as much as I possibly can."

Piper Rockelle then also posted a clip of herself listening to Sydney Rose's We Hug Now and shared the meaning of the song, saying:

"[Of course] this song is [about] a big friend group breaking up."

This perhaps hints at her not being friends with the teens who were part of her Squad and took part in the documentary.

The lawsuit was settled in October 2024, with the teens receiving $1.85 million. The Netflix docuseries highlights this case and speaks to the 11 teens and their parents about their disturbing experiences with Smith and Hill.

Notably, Rockelle, Smith, and Hill didn't provide a comment for the documentary. However, Smith told PEOPLE on April 8:

"This whole experience — from the claims and power plays from the stage moms to, now, the Netflix reality show — has been the most upsetting and difficult experience of my life. And it’s been even harder for my daughter, Piper, who’s become collateral damage in a mess of adults behaving badly."

The documentary is still running on Netflix. One can read further details about the lawsuit here.
