On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the 54-year-old took to his official X account and reshared a video post by user @amXFreeze. In his post, the X-user noted that Grok Imagine is "insanely good" as it seamlessly generated an Apple iPhone ad with "flawless transitions, stunning visuals, and immersive sound design."

Replying to this, Elon wrote:

“This is just version 0.9 of Grok Imagine.”

After the businessman reshared the video, which featured an advertisement clip fully created by his AI model, netizens were quick to react. One X-user compared Grok with Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video AI model and commented:

“Sora really can’t compete with Grok.”

Notably, the Grok Imagine Version 0.9 is a major update to Elon Musk’s AI platform. The new version is reportedly designed to generate text, images, and videos with remarkable accuracy, speed, and realism. Grok Imagine Version 0.9 can also be used across multiple creative formats, like virtual reality environments and interactive storytelling.

Elon launched this new version og Grok Imagine just days after OpenAI introduced Sora 2 on September 30, 2025. These launches reportedly intensify the competition in artificial intelligence-based video creative technology and immersive digital experiences.

According to Mint, Elon Musk recently announced that his Grok chatbot will soon be able to analyse videos on the internet and track where they came from. The xAI chatbot will also reportedly be able to detect AI signatures.

On October 9, 2025, the xAI CEO responded to a tweet by American Political commentator Matt Walsh, who pointed out the concern:

“Within the next year or two -- probably sooner -- anyone who hates you will be able to generate any kind of defamatory video of you doing or saying something awful, and it will be so indistinguishable from a real video that you simply won't ever be able to prove that it's fake. Literally nothing is being done to prevent this from happening.”

To this, Musk announced that there will be a new feature coming to his Grok and wrote:

“@grok will be able to analyze the video for AI signatures in the bitstream and then further research the Internet to assess origin.”

Notably, the Tesla CEO's reply also comes after several people expressed their worries about the rise in use of AI-generated content, which is reportedly being used to impersonate another individual or post harmful videos.

For the unversed, Grok has reportedly become an integral part of X ever since it was launched in 2023. When a user posts a question on the social media platform, with “@grok”, the chatbot presents a response.
