On 16th October 2023, Millie Bobby Brown's interview with Glamour surfaced on the internet, and netizens are gushing over the details the British actress revealed about her highly private relationship with Jake Bongiovi. In a previous interview with Wired, the Stranger Things star seemingly spoke for the first time about how she met the American actor and model on Instagram, where they'd hit things off.

In the interview with Glamour, the 19-year-old actor revealed several endearing conversations that the couple had in their relationship's initial stages.

"When I met Jake, I just felt I could be loud. He embraced that and encouraged that. And I fell in love with myself while being with him."

During the interview, Millie Bobby Brown spoke more about how her fiancé taught her to love the parts of herself she used to dislike.

Millie Bobby Brown speaks on how fiancé Jake Bongiovi inspired her to love herself

The 19-year-old owner of Florence by Mills and the 21-year-old son of American singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi were first rumored to be dating in 2022, which was confirmed when they attended the red carpet of the BAFTA Awards together in 2022. In April 2023, Brown showed off her engagement ring on Instagram, announcing that Bongiovi is now her fiancé.

In the interview with Glamour, the actress reflected on her relationship with her beau, recalling how she used to be insecure and unsure about certain aspects of herself and then how that changed when Jake categorically pointed out those as the most loveable parts of her.

"And then he listed all these things that I hated about myself. I was like, 'You see good in those things?' And he was like, 'Of course I do'", she said in the interview."

She added that those parts are now the best things she loves about herself and how his words significantly boosted her confidence and helped her find her ground as a strong, confident, and independent woman.

She further said:

"He was a really big, huge part of me loving myself and becoming a woman. It was like, 'Wow, I really love this person because he allows me to love myself.'"

Millie Bobby Brown on her plans to extend her family and on being relieved that she doesn't have to be a 'stereotypical wife' to beau

In the interview, the Enola Holmes star confessed to always having a "dream" of having a baby. Still, that meeting with Jake Bongiovi changed her views on marriage and family to a large extent.

After getting to know Jake, Millie Bobby Brown realized she doesn't have to be a "stereotypical wife" to him, which relieved her.

"After meeting Jake and seeing, 'Oh, I don't have to be this stereotypical wife for him. He doesn't want me to be that either. He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that.' I was like, 'Oh, I do want this."

Millie Bobby Brown further expressed how lucky she was to have positive role models in both families who support the young couple in whatever decisions they make together.

The Emmy-nominated actress continues to expand her already versatile territory as her debut novel, Nineteen Steps: A Novel, published this year, is now a New York Times bestseller.
