Emily Faith is one of the contestants who will be featured in Season 20 of American Idol. The singer will appear on the third episode of the season, alongside 13 other contestants.

The show is currently showcasing auditions that took place in Los Angeles (California), Austin (Texas), and Nashville (Tennessee) last year.

Season 20 premiered on February 27 after the TV series was renewed for the fifth time on ABC. The show initially ran on Fox for 15 years (from 2002 to 2016). After a two-year break, it rebooted with Season 16 on ABC from 2018.

Who is Emily Faith from American Idol Season 20?

Contestant Emily Faith is a singer and songwriter who works part-time at her family-owned funeral home called Life Church Broadway and Britton.

From singing the national anthem at OKC Thunder games to opening for Newsboys, the Christian country musician has performed on many big stages in her career.

Faith, who studied at Oklahoma University, was also crowned Miss Tulsa 2022.

Faith recently spoke about her desire to be on American Idol in an interview with KTUL ABC 8. She said:

"I always felt like I wanted to do 'American Idol', but I just never felt like it was quite the right timing, and so this season came around and I just had this gut feeling to do it."

The singer also revealed that she had a bad case of bronchitis and laryngitis during her audition. She added that she was pumped with vitamins and immunity-booster shots before appearing in front of the judges.

Faith further stated that auditioning for the iconic show was far more daunting than any of her past performances:

"You have thousands of people that are watching at the Thunder games, or um, when you're on a national tour you have thousands of people in that audience. But on 'American Idol', you have three of the biggest icons in music."

Season 20 is judged by Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. Ryan Seacrest takes his usual place as the host.

The third episode of the season will air on March 13 at 8:00 pm ET/PT.
