What happens to Steve in Stranger Things Season 4?

In season 4, audiences see Steve Harrington working at the video store with Robin and remaining close friends with Dustin. Steve and Robin help Dustin find Eddie Munson at the start of the first season after the death of Chrissy Cunningham. This begins their fight against Vecna, who is targeting traumatized teenagers.

In the sixth episode, Steve is pulled into the Upside Down, where the Demobats attack him, and he almost dies until Robin, Nancy, and Eddie rescue him. In the season 4 finale, he again finds himself in a near-death experience when he is almost estranged by Vecna’s hives along with Nancy and Robin. In the end, the trio was able to defeat the physical form of Vecna. Thus, he is alive.
