Voice actor Robert L. Jackson is the voice behind the mask of Ghostface in the Scream film series.

Similar to Saw, Wrong Turn, Chucky, and other horror-struck logical movies, The Scream franchise has been one of the most intense franchises out there, and all thanks for this goes to Ghostface. Although each movie introduces a new killer, the voice behind the mask remains the same throughout the series and that is of voice actor Robert L. Jackson.

The first movie of the Scream franchise was released back in 1996. The American Slasher franchise is one of the most popular horror franchises out there and its sixth part was recently released. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, Scream 6 was released on March 10, 2023, and it starred Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox, who reprised their role alongside other new castings too. Roger Labon Jackson is an American voice actor who is known for voicing Ghostface in the Scream film series. Jackson was ranked #46 on the list of Best Kept Secrets of Hollywood, by E!. Many would be shocked to know that Jackson is the same person who voiced the villain Mojo Jojo in Cartoon Network's famous cartoon, The Powerpuff Girls.

Jackson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S, and has worked on multiple projects such as Van Helsing: The London Assignment, the Scream franchise, The Powerpuff Girls, The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, The Wild Thornberrys Movie, Titan A.E, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Teen Titans Go!, The Book of Pooh, etc.

While talking about how he came up with the alluring yet creepy voice for Ghostface during a past interview, the voice actor revealed that he decided to come up with such a voice that would make the girl stay on call even when they didn't want to. Jackson said, "It's like a cat that seems sweet and playful, but then all of a sudden the paw comes down onto the mouse's tail." He continued, "I wanted the voice to change color as Ghostface goes in for the kill, sort of like a cat does."

Jackson has never met his fellow cast members and thus just like his character of Ghostface, Jackson has been a mystery to all the cast members of Scream. To the rest of the cast, he was watching them, hidden somewhere nearby in the set to ensure that the horror in Scream felt real.

While sharing about this, Jackson said, I am their biggest fear. " It's why they never introduced me to the rest of the cast when filming." He also added, "They wanted me to stay away, so the other actors didn't have a visual image to associate with this weird voice they were hearing."
