Two separate videos of a motorcade supposedly escorting political activist Charlie Kirk's casket made the rounds on social media on September 12. Kirk, the co-founder of the conservative youth non-profit Turning Point USA, was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.

While details about Kirk's funeral services are yet to be publicly disclosed, some clips were circulated online, purported to be a motorcade procession bringing his casket to an Arizona church. One of the clips posted on X by @ArmandKleinX showed a massive motorcade on a highway followed by several police cars.

Some of the phrases used in the caption read, "THE ARIZONA MOTORCADE", and "CHARLIE KIRK ARRIVES AT HIS HOME".

The other video, set to Lewis Capaldi's Before You Go, featured the original poster's TikTok tag @navyseals07. It captured another motorcade moving on a highway, followed by police cars. It also featured a fire truck on an overhead bridge with the US flag hoisted from the aerial ladder.

However, neither of these two footage is from the motorcade procession for Kirk. X Community Notes under @ArmandKleinX's viral post clarified:

"This is not Charlie Kirk's motorcade. Channel 12 News provided a complete video of his motorcade and herse."

A Community Note was also added to one of the X posts sharing @navyseals07's video:

"This video shows the July 31, 2025, funeral procession for NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, with police vehicles on the George Washington Bridge approach. It's unrelated to Charlie Kirk."

Thus, these viral videos claiming to contain the massive motorcade for the slain 31-year-old conservative political commentator are misplaced.

Charlie Kirk's casket was brought to a chapel in Phoenix, Arizona

Charlie Kirk's body was transported from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arizona on Air Force Two on September 11 with the US Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, aboard. Some of Kirk's supporters were seen waiting outside the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for his casket to arrive.

12 News shared the live footage of the motorcade escorting Kirk's casket from the Airport on YouTube on Friday. However, the procession was not as massive as the viral clips circulated online.

According to AZ Central, Donald Trump said he would attend Kirk's funeral:

"Whenever it is, I'll be going."

Trump said he felt it was his obligation to attend the funeral as he was invited. The President also mentioned he spoke to Kirk's wife, Erika, who sounded "devastated".

According to USA Today, an obituary for Kirk is yet to be released by the Hansen Mortuary Chapel.
