McGregor is rumoured to have made around 30 Million USD from just the fight with more expected to stream in from pay-per-view sales.

In case you didn't know...

The battle in Vegas was the biggest crossover fight in years and did not disappoint. McGregor edged out the first few rounds but Mayweather came roaring back to finish with a flurry. A tenth round TKO victory came the American's way but at the end of the day, both men left the state of Nevada as the real winners owing to the enormous amounts of money they were making by merely showing up for the fight.

The heart of the matter

In Indian currency, the figures come to approximately Rs 1.13 crore per second. Yes, you read that right. A crore per second. No wonder he isn't keen on fighting again in his career. McGregor may have made millions too but Mayweather's overall earnings seem way too hot to handle.

His previous bout with Manny Pacquiao in 2015 made him richer by 250 Million USD approx. and the fact that he kept his unbeaten record intact despite all the best efforts of celebrated fighters from around the world, ensures that "Money" Mayweather sits atop the ladder of unbeatable performers in the world today.

What's next?

With all the money he has made in his career, Mayweather has made it clear that he has no intention of stepping inside a ring ever again no matter who decides to call him out. The 50-0 record is here to stay and will keep the tenacious American unbeaten.
