Caleb Plant recently replied to a tweet asking who would win in a match between Plant and David Benavidez. 'Sweethands' said that Benavidez wouldn't be able to do anything to him. In response to his take, a fan asked Plant what happened when the Benavidez brothers visited his gym. Plant replied:

"Yea and I smacked the shit outta Jose jr and instead of trying to get his get back on me he just turned and tried to get off on my boxing coach and David just stood there like a BIG FAT P***Y and did NOTHING. None of them did shit."

Take a look at the tweet:

Plant has been going back and forth with David Benavidez on Twitter as the pair look to fight each other in the ring. Plant last fought Canelo Alvarez in November last year, where he lost his IBF Super-Middleweight Title to the Mexican superstar. Since then, Plant has been on the lookout for his next opponent.

Now, two of the best middleweights want to take a go at each other. Former WBC Super Middleweight Champion David Benavidez has been looking for a title shot ever since he was stripped of his belt due to not missing weight. It will be exciting to see if this fight can come to fruition.

David Benavidez replies to Caleb Plant as rumors of a fight loom large

David Benavidez replied to Caleb Plant's tweet via his Instagram stories. The back-and-forth between the rumored opponents continues. Here's what Benavidez had to say to Plant:

"This Fatboy will knock yo b***h a** out worse than canelo sweet heart"

Per Michael Benson on Twitter, Jose Benavidez Sr. is looking to finalize the fight against Plant and hopes 'Sweethands' will not pull out:

"David Benavidez vs Caleb Plant is in the works for a potential fight in September, according to Benavidez's father/trainer Jose Benavidez Sr. Benavidez is first set to fight David Lemieux on May 21st."

Take a look at the tweet:

Benavidez will first take on David Lemieux on May 21st before he can even think of fighting Plant. Only time will tell if Plant decides to wait till Benavidez's next fight, or if he decides to have a tune-up clash in the meantime. Regardless, this is one of the most exciting match-ups to make at super middleweight right now.
