The 66-year-old Japanese company unveiled the next generation of GT-2000 last year. GT-2000 3 Lite-Show made its way into India in the first quarter of 2015. The latest generation of GT-2000 is the lightest in the series. Let us take a closer look at this running shoe.

Asics GT-2000 3 Lite-Show road running shoe is true to its size and a size 9 shoe weighs around 310g. The fit is great and you should be able to slide your foot comfortably. The lightest GT-2000 but when you compare with other running shoes, this is heavy. The support levels of this shoe are great. Like many other running shoes available in the running business today, the Asics GT-2000 3 Lite-Show also features reflective materials to improve visibility in low-light conditions. These shoes do look good with the reflective materials.
The first thing that caught our eye is the Open mesh upper. The construction and stitching is great, you will feel zero to minimal irritation and offers great levels of breathability. The eyelets on the upper offer improved comfort levels and lace tension. All good things come with a price; there is marginal amount of tongue slide with this shoe. Few do not find a problem with this while it completely turns off many. An exoskeletal heel counter wraps your heel strategically to provide a secure fit. It also features The ComforDRY sock-liner provides additional cushioning. It also has anti-bacterial properties that reduces order and moisture levels. No more wet feet from now on!
The midfoot is the most impressive part of this shoe. It provides rock-solid stability with reliable cushioning. The rear-foot and the forefoot area features a silicone-based gel. This offers unprecedented levels of cushioning along with amazing shock absorption properties. We are not that surprised with the Impact Guidance System in the shoe. It has become a standard for almost all shoes from Asics. The heel-to-toe transition is excellent. It is as good as 33-DFA. The FluidRide technology in the midfoot area provides exceptional cushioning. All the over pronators, rejoice. The Dynamic DuoMax provides the ultimate support and stability. The durability of GT-2000 3 Lite-Show is great. We would rate four stars out of five for durability (Five stars for Supernova Glide 7 and Tempo Boost 7).
Coming to the outsole, this shoe boasts AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Rubber) rubber like all other shoes from Asics including the Nimbus-17 and Kayano-21. This carbon rubber offers great levels of durability and good amounts of traction on multiple surfaces. The Guidance Line on the outsole improves the gait efficiency. Energy return is great. Along with this, Asics introduced the Guidance Trusstic System that integrates the Guidance line construction with the outsole. This offers amazing levels of stability and structural integrity. No complaints here, this shoe truly feels amazing.
The cushioning and transition levels of this shoe are great. It is a great running shoe with superior comfort and cushioning and is a great match for runners looking for the same.
