This shoe will turn some heads during workouts for the styling is eye-catching. We see a snug fit and a size 9 men’s shoe weighs 295g. This support shoe is ideal for mild over pronators and is a great match for road running.
Coming to the upper, we see an engineered 3D Flymesh upper that offers exceptional levels of breathability along with a great fit. The Flymesh upper is very comfortable. Strategically placed Dynamic Flywire ensures supreme lockdown along with much needed lightweight stability. In the heel area, we see a heel counter; this wraps your rearfoot and provides enhanced stability. For the underfoot cushioning, this shoe features a molded sock-liner. All your quick feet movements should be a breeze.
In the midsole area, we find dual density Phylon foam. A firm cage covers a low-density core that provides soft and resilient cushioning. The Dynamic Support platform ensures that there is a smooth transition from heel to toe during foot movement. This also helps in keeping the pronation to the minimum. At the bottom of the heel area, there is a decoupled crash pad. This reduces over pronation and shock impact. Get ready to experience a very comfortable ride with these shoes.
Like other shoes in the Nike Competitor pack, this shoe also features the Air Zoom unit in the midsole area. We also see the same unit in Nike Air Max 2015. The heel and the forefoot area boast the Zoom unit and deliver responsive and super soft cushioning.
To the Air Zoom unit, add Blown rubber on the outsole. Cushioning offered by this shoe is great. A high Abrasion Solid Rubber in the heel area provides unmatched levels of durability. To improve the ride quality, Nike introduced deep Anatomical Flex Grooves along with a highly durable waffle outsole. For better heel-to-toe transition and an improved gait cycle efficiency, Nike also introduced a rubber Crash Rail on the lateral side of the Nike Air Zoom Odyssey.
With exceptional cushioning and durability levels, this shoe should be a perfect match for all the mild over pronators. The responsive cushioning ensures that the Nike Air Zoom Odyssey is fast. To all this, add a snug fit along with one of the best cushioning systems in the running business (Air Zoom). This shoe could be your new best friend for all your running needs.
