The ceremonies were conducted in a grand manner with a number of Bhajji’s teammates and celebrities gracing the occasion. The entire wedding festivities will be a five-day affair with the couple set to tie the knot on October 29 before culminating with a grand reception that will be held at New Delhi on November 1. Eminent personalities like Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of the current Indian Cricket team are expected to make their presence felt at the capital city bringing a closure to the grand wedding party. Geeta Basra looked adorable in the pink and lime yellow coloured lehenga designed by acclaimed Indian fashion designer Archana Kochhar. She complimented her look with a headgear and dangling jhumkas.

Harbhajan Singh meanwhile chose to keep his outfit simple and wore a white T-shirt for the occasion.

Geeta Basra was adorned with intricate Mehandi designs on both her hands as part of the ceremony while Harbhajan's mother, Avtaar Kaur, inscribed her daughter-in-law's name on the off-spinner’s hands with mehandi.

A Punjabi ceremony without songs and dance is impossible to imagine and there was certainly no way that Tuesday night would witness something of that sort as the soon-to-be-wed couple and family members danced to the tunes of some popular Punjabi songs.

Harbhajan Singh switched to a more traditional outfit for the Sangeet ceremony with a pink kurta complimented a waist coast. He is seen here posing with his family members at his residence in Jalandhar before leaving for the ceremony which took place in Phagwara.
