FIFA 15: Best Chelsea team

Since the game is now released, we will present to you FIFA 15’s best Chelsea team. With Jose Mourinho preferring the 4-2-3-1 formation, we will help you choose the best player for each of those positions from the Chelsea squad purely based on their ratings in the game.

#11 Thibaut Courtois (GK)

The only team with the luxury of having two of the top 3 goalkeepers in the game is Chelsea. And that’s why you will probably have to run the risk of losing one among the two in career mode due to lack of first team action. Anyway coming back to the two, Courtois edges Cech by one rating point and he is also ten years younger.

#10 Branislav Ivanovic (RB)

Ivanovic has made the right back slot his own in recent years and here again with a rating of 81, he displaces Azpilicueta who has a rating of 79. The big Serbian can also play as a centre back if needed. But since he is already 30 years old, he might not improve further in the game in career mode.

#9 Gary Cahill (CB)

The 28 year old has settled in well at Chelsea and is looked at upon as a future leader. He doesn’t have too much of a competition for his slot in the game as well since Chelsea only have under 21 players in their squad as replacements. He is rated 81.

#8 John Terry (CB)

Approaching 34, but still going strong after having a remarkable season last time around. In fact he is rated higher (83) than his junior Cahill. Despite retiring from national duty, he is still the highest rated English CB in the game and manages to keep out the younger legs of Kurt Zouma.

#7 Filipe Luis (LB)

Mourinho might prefer Azpilicueta as his left back for now. But gamers should look to deploy Filipe Luis as their full back since he is rated above the Spaniard at 82, and is naturally more suitable to that position. He is also very good with his crosses and is at the peak of his career.

#6 Nemanja Matic (CDM)

Matic is Chelsea’s monster in defensive midfield. At 26 he is one of the best players in the league in his position and with a rating of 82, he starts ahead of Ramires who is rated 81 and John Obi Mikel who is rated 78. He can grow further in the career mode with age on his side.

#5 Cesc Fabregas (CDM)

Not a natural defensive minded midfielder, but Fabregas has settled well in his role at Chelsea at times going forward and swapping positions with the number 10. So do not think twice about lining him up alongside Matic in your first eleven. He is rated 84 in the game.

#4 Willian (RW)

The 26 year old Brazilian’s work rate is just amazing. He can also play as a pure number 10 if needed, but you can play him on the right for now. Mohamed Salah with a rating of 76 competes for his slot, but at 82, Willian should easily be in your first choice eleven. He can grow further in career mode.

#3 Oscar (CAM)

Oscar is Mourinho’s preferred number 10, and that’s the reason he even went on to sell Juan Mata to rivals Manchester United. He is just 22 years old and is already rated84 in the game. You can be tempted to play the likes of Fabregas or Willian as a CAM, but Oscar should nail down that spot for good in your Chelsea eleven.

#2 Eden Hazard (LW)

This was never in doubt. Hazard is not only the highest rated player in the Chelsea squad, but is also the highest rated player in the English Premier League with a rating of 88. He is your linchpin in this line up and watch him dazzle with the ball on his feet. He is bound to have his ratings enter the 90’s within a few seasons in career mode. Andre Schurrle is the back up left winger with a rating of 81.

#1 Diego Costa (ST)

Didier Drogba might have come back to the bridge, and might even be rated higher than Loic Remy (81 to 80), but you must start with Chelsea’s latest sensation Diego Costa who has had a strong physical presence on the pitch apart from banging in the goals. He is rated 85 in the game.
