Top 20 Goalkeepers in FIFA 15

Narbavi

After revealing the ratings of over 100 players, EA SPORTS have now compiled a list of the top 20 goalkeepers in FIFA 15. Here are they –

#20 Bernd Leno - Bayer 04 Leverkusen (Germany)

Just 22 years old, Leverkusen’s Leno is one of the best young German keepers around who are fighting to become Neuer’s back up. He is rated 82 in the game.

#19 Marc-Andr ter Stegen - FC Barcelona (Spain)

Similar to Leno, with the same age, Ter Stegan has around 15 great seasons ahead of him in career mode. But you may not be able to buy him in the very first window since he has just moved to Barcelona.

#18 Steve Mandanda - Marseille (France)

The French international has been with Olympic Marseille for seven seasons now and is also their captain. He too can prove to be a smart buy since he is rated 82 in the game and is 29 years old.

#17 Tim Howard - Everton (England)

The United States keeper had a brilliant time in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He has been with Everton for several years now and is already 34 years old. If you are playing with a side which has a pretty low budget, you can probably tempt him in.

#16 Simon Mignolet - Liverpool FC (England)

Liverpool have brought in Mignolet as a long term replacement for Pepe Reina and the Belgian stopper has impressed everyone so far. Unfortunately because of Courtois, he hasn’t been able to nail down the Belgian number 1 spot

#15 Joe Hart - Manchester City (England)

The 27 year old is England’s number 1 goalkeeper and has a long career ahead of him. Since he is playing for Manchester City, you won’t be able to tempt him out unless you pay some big bucks.

#14 Gianluigi Buffon - Juventus (Italy)

The 36 year old Italian stopper comes in at number 14 with a rating of 82. He is still recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and would be looking to do well in the Champions League this season with Juventus.

#13 Stphane Ruffier - Saint-tienne (France)

28 years old, rated 83 and is plying his trade in France for St. Etienne. You don’t have to spend big on this guy in career mode, so get him in as soon as possible as he can still give you six to seven good seasons.

#12 Claudio Bravo - FC Barcelona (Spain)

Barcelona have done well by bringing in Bravo to replace the departing Victor Valdes. He is 31 years old and is rated 83. Since he moved in this window, it may not be possible to get him in your side straightaway.

#11 Samir Handanovi - Inter (Italy)

After a long career with Udinese, Handanovic has moved to Inter and is now one of the most reliable goalkeepers in Seria A. With a rating of 83, he is the joint highest rated goalkeeper in the league.

#10 Roman Weidenfeller - Borussia Dortmund (Germany)

He became the oldest ever German goalkeeper débutant last year and is already 34 years old. Considering goalies go on for a longer period of time, you can still get him at a bargain price and use him for three seasons. He is rated 83.

#9 Igor Akinfeev - CSKA Moscow (Russia)

Russia’s number 1 in front of goal and CSKA Moscow’s Captain Igor Akinfeev comes in next at number 9 with a rating of 83 in FIFA 15. He has been a one club man throughout his career, so it would probably take some big money to take him in to your side

#8 Diego Lpez - AC Milan (Italy)

After a short lived spell with Real Madrid where he won the Champions League, Lopez decided to join AC Milan despite their recent struggles. Can he inspire them and send them back to the top remains to be seen. He is rated 83 in the game.

#7 David De Gea - Manchester United (England)

Not only did United finish 7th last season, their number 1 stopper has given the same spot on this list by EA. Nevertheless, he made some outstanding saves for his side and is considered as the man who can replace Casillas in the Spanish squad in the future.

#6 Salvatore Sirigu - Paris Saint-Germain (France)

Buffon’s heir apparent is rated higher than him in the game. Sirigu has been having a good time with PSG, but you can have him in your team and can further improve his rating since he is just 27 years old.

#5 Iker Casillas - Real Madrid (Spain)

It’s been a mixed year for Casillas. After finding his spot back at Madrid, he led them to the CL title, but was criticised heavily for his national side’s early ouster in Brazil. He was the highest rated goalkeeper in FIFA 14, but drops two rating points and is rated 84 in this year’s edition.

#4 Hugo Lloris - Tottenham Hotspur (England)

The 27 year old couldn’t help Spurs reach the top 4, but his strong performances have guaranteed him a spot in the top 4 in this list. He had a decent World Cup as well before bowing out in the quarterfinals.

#3 Petr ech - Chelsea FC (England)

Cech’s rating remains the same as it was in FIFA 14 at 85. He might have lost his place to Courtois for the moment, but he is sure to give the young man a fight for that number 1 stopper’s spot.

#2 Thibaut Courtois - Chelsea FC (England)

Not many teams can boast of having two of the top three rated goalies in their squad. Courtois is finally back at Chelsea after 3 seasons on loan. His amazing performances at Atletico Madrid have not gone unnoticed. He was rated 84 in FIFA 14, and has moved to 86 in the game’s latest version.

#1 Manuel Neuer - Bayern Munich (Germany)

top 20 goalkeepers in FIFA 15

German keeper Manuel Neuer takes the top spot as widely expected. He won the Bundesliga title, the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the FIFA World Cup in the last 18 months of his career and has been rewarded deservingly by the game’s makers.
