Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Houston Cougars Prediction, Odds, Lines, Picks, and Preview - December 10 | 2022/23 NCAA Basketball Regular Season

Phil Knight Invitational - Alabama vs. Michigan State
Can Houston remain undefeated following their game with the Alabama Crimson Tide?

The Alabama Crimson Tide head to face the #1 ranked Houston Cougars in an epic, early-season clash. The Tide have already knocked off one #1 ranked team in North Carolina.

The Houston Cougars remain undefeated, but arguably, the Crimson Tide pose their toughest challenge. Will Alabama upset the Cougars and announce their presence to the nation, or will Houston continue their dominance at home?

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Houston Cougars: Betting Odds

TEAMSLINESOVER/UNDERMONEY LINE
Alabama+8 (-115)O 137 (-110)+290
Houston-8 (-105)U 137 (-110)-350

The Houston Cougars have a balanced roster and one of the deeper benches in College Basketball.

Jamal Shead is the on-court leader for the Cougars. Shead makes the right decisions and gets his teammates involved, as he leads the team in assists and steals.

Marcus Sasser is a natural scorer and bucket-getter for the Houston Cougars. Sasser shoots it well and is clutch from the FT line shooting 89%.

J'Wan Roberts provides a physical force inside for the Cougars. Roberts averages ten points per night while leading the team in rebounding.

Ja'Vier Francis is a defensive anchor for the Houston defense, leading the team in blocked shots.

Alabama's Brandon Miller has quickly become one of the top players in the SEC, if not College Basketball. Miller leads the team in points and rebounds while shooting 40% from the floor and 80% from the stripe. Miller chips in with a block per game. There do not appear to be many flaws in Brandon Miller.

Javon Quinerly has some of the best court vision in the SEC, leading the Crimson Tide in assists.

Big man Charles Bediako provides a presence on the inside for the Crimson Tide. Bediako plays just 20 minutes per night but averages over two blocks and seven rebounds per game.

Mark Sears is another solid contributor for the Alabama Crimson Tide, averaging 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game. Sears is one of the glue guys you need on a team contending for a National Title.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Houston Cougars: Prediction

The Alabama Crimson Tide have proved to be a legitimate contender this season. Alabama has the depth to contest anyone on both ends of the court. Houston looks like a potential Final Four team, but I question the quality of their early-season schedule.

Houston may win this game, but the eight-point spread is a bridge too far. Take the Crimson Tide, and take the points.

Final Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide +8 (-115)
