Memphis Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Key Stats

Alabama has played some defensive games recently, but on the year, they've been excellent from deep. The hosts enter tonight's game, shooting 34.7% from three, which is only slightly above average, but the fact that they take 30.1 per game is a testament to their game plan. Leading scorer and best player Brandon Miller takes a whopping seven threes per game, which he's shooting at a 42.9% clip while averaging 17.9 points overall. He also leads the team in rebounding at 8.4, and as a team, the Crimson Tide grab 45.7 boards per contest, the highest mark in the entire country. Miller's teammate Mark Sears isn't too far behind him scoring-wise, as the junior guard averages 14.4 points per game, so expect these two to carry the scoring load once again.

Memphis is hot at the moment, and a lot of that has to do with being extremely efficient from the field lately. They've shot 50% or better from the field in three of their past four games, but they'll have a tough test tonight versus Alabama, who allow opponents to shoot just 36.7% overall. Senior guard Kendric Davis paces the Tigers with 18.4 points per contest, and he also leads in dishing with 4.9 assists per game. Deandre Williams is second on the team in scoring (14.3) and first in rebounding (7.7), so the visitors will need both of these guys to be at their best tonight. Memphis has struggled from three-point land, but their defense has held opponents to just 37.9% shooting, so this game could be lining up to be a defensive battle.

Memphis Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Prediction

Both schools have looked great coming into tonight, but Alabama especially look dangerous after knocking off Houston, who were ranked #1 in the nation at the time. The Crimson Tide are 4-0 at home, and while this could be a let-down game after a huge victory, they've been pretty dominant at home this year for the most part. Back Alabama here to win and cover versus a tough Memphis squad.

Prediction: Alabama -7.5 (-110)
