Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens Key Stats

The Ravens are facing a long list of important players in the injury report, and that could prove to be their toughest opponent this week. Lamar hasn't been himself in weeks, and after appearing banged up against the Giants, you have to wonder if there isn't anything more going on.

TE Mark Andrews is also listed as questionable, but recent newslines show him trending towards playing. Assuming both are healthy and playing, the Ravens should have no problem putting up points against one of the worst defensive units in the NFL. The Browns also have multiple defensive linemen on the injury report, and they already can't defend the run. The Ravens will exploit that before letting Lamar take shots down the field.

The Browns are seemingly a lost-cause on defense, ranked as the second-worst unit in the league by DVOA metrics. They've been struggling to find their main identity on offense and desperately need Watson to come in as QB.

Until then, the offense will rely heavily on RB Nick Chubb to carry a heavy workload.

Baltimore's defense ranks 24th against the run, so expect a productive day for Chubb; he'll do the heavy lifting to keep the Browns within striking distance.

Expect this to help QB Brissett eventually find Amari Cooper in the endzone and open up the passing game, especially while Ravens CB Marcus Peters is injured.

Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens Betting Prediction

Lamar will take advantage of a weak Cleveland defense to get the Ravens back on track. If he can get the turnovers in check, they should have no problem moving the ball. The Browns also have some offensive production, led mainly by Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Both teams hit (at least) their season average of 25 PPG and we see a slight shootout to get over 45.5 but the Ravens get the win, covering the -6.5, and pick up some momentum for next week.

Prediction: Ravens -6.5 (-114), Nick Chubb Over 76.5 (-130), Lamar Jackson to score (+135)
