We'll be watching a battle of back-up quarterbacks this weekend with Taylor Heinicke and Sam Ehlinger. Heinicke got the call over Wentz for the first time last week and managed to secure the win with 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, but threw one interception. We've seen him have big-time performances before when the back-up was called upon to step up and he'll need to continue to that standard. Although the new starting QB for the Colts has taken a few in-game snaps in the past, this will be his starting debut in the NFL. The Colts have officially put Matt Ryan in the rear-view and handed the car keys to Ehlinger. We'll see if he can avoid the same problems that Ryan faced and show Vegas that they were right to make him and the Colts the favorite.
Both Indianapolis and Washington are 3-4 against the spread this season and have only covered in their wins. Both teams have finished under in the majority of their games so far, and given the quarterback matchup, bettors shouldn't count on many bets touching the over.
Indianapolis' QB Ehlinger is at least much more mobile than Ryan, but that doesn't mean the offensive line will suddenly be able to protect their QB.
