The New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians will play Game 4 of their MLB ALDS tonight (October 16) at the Progressive Field.
The Guardians came out strong in Game 3, putting up a run in the first two innings. New York followed up the third with two of their own. After that, it was a back and forth battle, but the Yankees entered the ninth inning with a two-run lead.
New York had the win in the bag, but the Guardians strung together some hits and picked up three runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk it off.

Pitching in this one is Gerrit Cole for the Yankees and Cal Quantrill for the Guardians, in a rematch of Game 1.
Gerrit Cole was tremendous in the first game of the series. He pitched six and a third innings, allowing just one run on four hits. Of course, New York will expect him to continue to dominate, but hitters often take advantage of seeing the same pitcher in such a short span.
Cal Quantrill, meanwhile, put up some respectable numbers in game one, but he will try to do better here. He only pitched five innings, allowing three runs on four hits. This is an elimination game for the Yankees, so that takes some of the pressure off Quantrill.
