Asian Games 2018 Jet Ski

Jet Ski will be one of ten sports that are scheduled to make their Asian Games debut in the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. Although, the discipline will not be a part of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Asian Games authority decided to go ahead with the sports to extend the periphery of the world’s second largest multi-sporting event.


Venue and Schedule for 2018 Asian Games

The Jek Ski competition will take place from August 23 to August 26 at Ancol Beach, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol in Jakarta.


Asian Games Jet Ski 2018 Events

On its debut at the Asian Games, the Jet Ski competition will consist of four events- namely "Ski Modified" (Four Stroke), "Runabout 1100 Stock (Four Stroke)", "Runabout Limited (Four Stroke)" and "Endurance Runabout Open (Four Stroke)". All the events are mixed

In the entire competition, each participating nation is allowed to play a maximum of eight athletes.


Favourites for Asian Games 2018 Jet-Ski

Thailand's two women Jet Skiers- Oraphan Teerapatpanich and Chalita Kuajaroon- will be in contention for the gold medal in the Ski Modified competition. They will be accompanied by two men contestants- Veerapong Maneechom and Nuttakorn Pupakdee who won gold and bronze in the 2014 Asian Beach Games respectively.


Thailand's Jet Skiers Supuk Settura will also aim for the gold in the 2018 Asian Games. Supuk Settura finished fourth in the 2017 Jet Ski World Cup.


Twice Asian Beach Games gold medalist Aero Sutan Aswar will be one of the major contenders to bag the yellow metal in the Runabout 1100 Stock, Endurance Runabout Open and Runabout Limited. His siblings Aqsa Sutan Aswar will also challenge Aero in the Endurance Runabout Open.
