The Bona-Fide Liverpool FC Transfer Gossip: July 12th 2012

Quite a few bits and blobs from the transfer market, hence being why I can’t pack all the latest transfer rumours into a ‘Top 3 LFC Transfer Rumours of the week’ post, so here are some:

Hugo Lloris Available for 15 million pounds

Not one that Liverpool FC are directly linked to at present time, but one that can develop over the next few days. Liverpool have expressed interest in the French keeper before, and with Pepe Reina attracting a potentially big offer from Italian giants AC Milan, Lloris could just be the answer, with him available for a measly 15 million pounds.

Lloris is also captain for his national team, with him being one of the top performers for Les Bleus at the EURO 2012 competition. Furthermore, with Pepe Reina’s age slowly catching up with him along with a declining save % (see diagram to the right), one would suspect that Liverpool might just give this move a go.

Bellamy Allowed to Leave

Apparently, that is true according to The Mirror, with it reporting that first of all, Bellamy wants to leave Liverpool in search for more playing time, and second of all, to head back to his homeland which is Wales.

Cardiff City is set to be his next destination, with the Welshman given the go-ahead by Brendan Rodgers to make the move.

Liverpool Aim for Schalke Double Swoop

According to Goal.com, Liverpool are plotting a double swoop for Schalke duo Draxler and Holtby. The website claims that ideally Holtby is the more realistic target for Liverpool, with his contract set to run out next summer.

The article also states that although Liverpool are putting Joe Allen on the top of their summer shopping list, Draxler and Holtby are still both high up in that shopping list as well.

Andy Carroll Uncertainty

Lots of bids coming out from everywhere now. West Ham are planning to take him on a loan deal and Newcastle United are set to offer Liverpool FC 10 million pounds for a player they forked out 35 million pounds for.

Apparently, the management are considering both options at the moment, and it seems fairly likely that the Englishman is set to move on to greener pastures come next seasons’ time. With Borini and Sturridge both targets as well, Carroll’s future at Anfield doesn’t look bright.

Although the interest, Carroll has come out saying that he is planning to stay on with the Anfield outfit to fight for a place in the first team. Gotta like that spirit.
