5th Indian Junior Open Squash to begin on 27th August in Chennai

The 5th Indian Junior Open Squash Championship commences tomorrow at the Indian Squash Academy, Chennai. 419 participants from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Nepal, Canada and India have entered this event. This event is sanctioned by the Asian Squash Federation as a Gold event, it is also part of the World Junior Circuit and an SRFI Four Star event.

Kush Kumar, winner at the 2nd Asian Youth games has been given top billing in the boys under 19 category. Kush, a trainee at the Indian Squash Academy will be looking at a hayrick at this event. Sachika Ingale from Delhi is seeded to meet Urwashi Joshi from Mumbai in the girls under 19 final. The other star attraction of this event is current Boys under 13 Asian Junior Champion Mohd Hafiz Zhafri from Malaysia.
