Indian squash teams secure third position at Asian Junior Squash Team Championships

India secured third position at the Championship

The Indian girls and boys settle for bronze medals at the Asian Junior Team Championship held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a massive effort by the Indian girls & boys in their respective semifinals both against Malaysia going down 1-2. In the quarterfinals the Indian boys defeated Iran 2-0 following up as they topped their pool defeating Chinese Taipei, Jordan & Sri Lanka 3-0.

The girls finished 2nd in their pool going down to Hong Kong, China 1-2. However, they had easy victories against Chinese Taipei & Sri Lanka 3-0.

Final positionsBoys :

1 Malaysia, 2 Pakistan, 3 India & Hong Kong China, 5 Iran, 6 Jordan, 7 Singapore, 8 Kuwait, 9 Japan, 10 Republic of Korea, 11 Sri Lanka, 12 Iraq, 13 Indonesia, 14 Chinese Taipei

Final positions Girls:

1 Malaysia, 2 Hong Kong China, 3 India & Singapore, 5 Republic of Korea, 6 Sri Lanka, 7 Chinese Taipei.
