Asian Squash Coaching Conference 6-8 Dec’12

The Squash Rackets Federation of India, under the auspices of the Asian Squash Federation, will be hosting the Asian Coaching Conference from 6 – 8 Dec 2012 at the Indian squash Academy.

The conference will be held at the Indian Squash Academy. The theme of the conference is “Effective Coaching”. A total of 44 participants from 9 Asian countries have registered for this conference.

Dr. Michel Gagne(Sports Psychologist), Mr Joerg Teichmann (Rehab specialist), Dr. Madhuthottappillil (Sports Medicine specialist), Ryan Fernando (Nutritionist), Satinder Bajwa (Former Mentor of Jansher Khan), Allan Soyza (National Coach, Malaysia), Dr B.I Singh (Sports Medicine specialist), Dr Kanan Pugalendhi (Sports Medicine specialist), Tony Choi (National Coach Hong Kong), S Maniam (Director Coaching, World Squash Federation), Cyrus Poncha (National Coach India), and Aarthi (Senior Physiologist) will contribute at the conference.

Some of the topics that will be covered at the conference are Mental & Physical preparation of Elite Squash players, state of the art coaching methodology and several workshops on holistic coaching.

The course starts at 1 pm on 6th Dec and finishes at 7 pm on 8th Dec.

The Secretary General of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, Mr Srivatsan Subramaniam expressed his delight at such an encouraging response from Asian member nations and said that the Indian Coaches will indeed benefit from such an august gathering.
