Joshana Chinappa of India enters quarterfinals of Hong Kong Open

Joshna pulled off a sensational win to enter in the Quarter Final of Hong Kong World Series Squash

She put some sensational performance to beat No. 15 seeded Line Hansen of Denmark in the second round by 12-10, 11-8, 9-11, 11-5 in 44 minutes. She will be only unseeded player among quarter finalist. Earlier she defeated no. 7 seeded Natalie Grinham in the first round.

This will be her first ever quarterfinal berth in 8 year long career. This 27 year old Girl from Mumbai made her debut in World Series Event in March, 2005 at Kuwait Open. Currently she hold No. 26 rank in the world ranking.

“I hadn’t played Line for five years but she’s had some good results recently so I knew it would be tough,” Joshna told www.squashsite.com later.

“I really like it here in Hong Kong and seem to play well. That’s two good wins for me.”

Significantly, She will face No. 4 seeded Alison Waters of England against whom Joshna made her World series debut in 2005 at Kuwait.
